The Anchor Boys forms the introduction to the Boys Brigade for boys in Primaries 2 and 3. Currently we have just over 30 boys attending most Thursdays.

The boys belong to one of five Groups and they remain in these Groups throughout the year. Each week, these Groups are awarded marks for various things and a these are posted on the Company notice board encouraging boys to see how they are doing compared to their fellows.

A typical evening starts with a short talk to all the boys followed by Group games with marks awarded towards the Groups' evening scores. This is followed by work on 'Achievements' for the 2nd year boys. These achievements consist of.

Spiritual, Physical, Adventure, Interest and Community. Each Achievement group contains 5 options of which the boys must do two.

The evening completes with crafts, drawing or a story. The boys in the highest scoring Group for each evening get a small prize and everyone gets a lollipop!
